New World - Nerfed?! Can a PVE Tank still Solo All of Myrkgard in Season 1 Fellowship & Fire?!

Myrkgard Tank build: https://youtu.be/h7OJYwAwjB0 Build is the same, swap from 300str to 300 con for grit. Season 1: Fellowship & Fire is here and with it came many changes for PVE tanks. -A rework to fortify (1/3rd as effective as prepatch) -Grit node moved from 300 str to 300 con -Trenchant recovery nerf (50% as effective as prepatch) -Warhammer cc duration & ability damage nerf -Refreshing move nerf -Buff to weaken on shield rush So the question is how does this affect our ability to solo Myrkgard? It’s harder, but doable. The swap from 300 str/200 con to 200 str/300 con is the most notable and behind it is the fortify & trenchant recovery nerf. We are "tankier" with ~2k more health. With more health comes bigger heals from defender’s resolve & regenerating on our earring. The downside is we do less damage moving to 300 con which means less heals from the already gimped trenchant recovery and warhammer ability damage nerfs. With the changes to fortify you can’t facetank as hard even with def resolve+shield rush fortify vs tough elites so be sure to stack the weaken from shockwave with shield rush before popping defender’s resolve fortify to help mitigate as much damage as possible. The nerf to refreshing move isn’t huge but it makes the reverse stab cdr ability that much more impactful. You can still “Solo all of Myrkgard” but you will need to play tighter, and actually use consumables. I left a portion of the Thorpe fight in where you can see my health get low and actually use pots. With pots, regen pots, trenchant recovery, defender’s resolve, lifesteal, regenerating and stoneform heartrune you have many fail safes/sustain to get you through difficult solo content. Be sure to use coatings, honing stones, incense, corrupted ward pots to push damage/mitigation. If the corrupted breaches are still up, bring some corruption tinctures to cleanse unless you want to take ~2k damage every few seconds from the corruption affliction. In my opinion the fights are tougher but a lot more fun. It’s nice to see all the moving parts of the build come together, and actually use buffs/consumables. Thanks for coming to my ted talk, stay tuned for the updated “Solo all of Helios” video and good luck to my fellow tanks o7 -Savan Like, subscribe & leave a tanky comment.
