Something is going on with this species in Bolivia. It is in the forested savanna of lower Beni department, but not further in the north- like in Asociacion Armonia's Barba Azul Nature Reserve. Further south, it is not found in the lowlands, but reoccurs in the Andean valles at 1,200 m. Ideally would like to film singing birds throughout. I played the Beni lowland song to an individual in the highlands- which ignored the song. But then aggressively responded to a high land song.
