Security in Eurasia: From Concept to Practice. Session 2
On December 9, 2025, the Valdai Discussion Club held a conference titled “Security in Eurasia: From Concept to Practice.” The second session focused on the military dimension of the Eurasian security architecture initiative. Modern security concepts imply a multidimensional understanding of the term. However, at its core, military security remains fundamental, serving as the basis for sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence of contemporary states. Current military conflicts and the new arms race demonstrate that issues of military security retain their fundamental significance. The Eurasian continent hosts the majority of nuclear powers and is the site of key military-political crises.
