Final Fantasy VI (III): Kefka's Theme - Remastered / Remix - tenChuX #121
A tenChux music remastering of Kefka's Theme from Final Fantasy III (6) on a channel topped with video game remixes and covers. Songs from Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Chrono and more from the best soundtracks - it's all on here! Choosing this week's song was actually quite difficult. Since I'm going with a song a week from one of the eight games in the weekly bracket for 8tbitX.com's annual tournament (it's the 16-bit tournament atm) it came down between Super Mario World and Final Fantasy VI (III in the US). Seeing as how I've already hit all the major SMW melodies it just didn't feel right to go for one of the songs left...basically all I have now are 15-30 second loop BGM. I'm also saving Ghost House for Halloween, granted it too is very basic and repetitive. Once I decided no SMW it came down to which plethora of FF VI songs will be the one I chose. Right away I said no to Terra since I want to save that one for when I can do it the way I want, which will involve time I currently don't have....so then I listened to the entire OST while working and decided I'd do this one. The song goes through the melody twice but evolves. I wanted to go for a very demented clown/circus type of feel. Kefka is already going a little wacky and then on the second repeat he finally snaps.
