Continent Part 2
Russia: My History Next week, they will be opening up another huge section on the 20th century. I definitely want to come back. This is the 2nd time I've visited this part, and I took pains to investigate the pre-history and history of Russia, as I've been studying the Sargats and the Scythian culture, as well as the importance of Yermak's conquest and setting up the Russian cities of Tobolsk, Tara, and Tomsk. I've now been to each of these cities, and they are beautifully placed. The landscape of the steppe and taiga of Siberia is superb, in fact, and the trip to Tara brought up all the history of the vast look of the land, the wide-open sky, and the distant blue bank of the Irtysh and distant forests of the tiaga.
