2011 Mercedes-Benz E350 haD to remove engine to replace timing chains and balance shaft ??♂️?

removing engine to replace timing chains and balance shaft … you have to remove the engine because you don’t have enough room to pull out the balance shaft from behind the engine or from the front of the engine ??♂️?
