So, today, one of the first maps I wanted to re-download was this one and I was happy to find it's still a little belter. Although Doom 3 isn't the killer game it once was a decade ago, it's still really enjoyable and there's some cool fx on offer. But how could I make this posting a little different? How about combining this map with a favourite mod of mine? Yep, that's a great idea, so I choose Doom3X as it's been one I've enjoyed over and over. Plus I found that I still had a copy on my hard drive so I'm very happy indeed and I just had to try it out again after all these years!! Installation is really easy, the Doom3X mod folder goes inside here : /Users/YOU/Library/Application Support/Doom 3 (now select Doom3X from the MODS menu) The Church of Ruins map file (Church_of_Ruins.pk4) goes inside here : /Users/YOU/Library/Application Support/Doom 3/base Now load up Doom 3 as normal and enter this command into your console: map sewer_sickness Download these - Doom3X ( http://doom3.filefront.com/file/DOOM3X;49188 ) Church Of Ruins ( http://doom3.filefront.com/file/Church_of_Ruins;29963 )
