Всё, что делает Елизавета Ильинична заслуживает внимания. Предлагаемая запись – это невероятное исполнение, может быть, самого значительного из произведений Листа. Так сложилось, что я люблю эту Сонату с детства и слышал во множестве вариантов – в моей фонотеке по меньшей мере две дюжины её записей. Интерпретация Леонской совершенно необычна, но убеждает с первых нот. Кроме того, Соната сыграна, подана на одном дыхании. А какой звук! О блеске я уже не говорю, но какой звук! Фантастика. I wish I knew that Leonskaja recorded this Sonata when I was going through "vertical listening" of it. I've heard about 35 different recordings then, one after another, all done by great musicians. Leonskaja's interpretation stands out from the very beginning. Very unusual, it is convincing nevertheless, right from get go. Add to it her fantastic tone and technical brilliance of the highest level. All in all, this is one of the most inspirational recordings of the Sonata that I've ever heard, and believe me, I've heard a lot of Sonata B minor recordings.
