Soviet era aircraft anti-collision beacon MSL-3 (МСЛ-3) test
Here we have vintage aircraft anti-collision beacon. This is soviet made device, probably from 70s or 80s. According data from internet this type was used on YAK-40, AN-124, AN-225 (!), IL-76 airplanes and КА25, КА27, КА28, MI6А, MI12, MI24, MI28 helicopters. Unfortunately I have no data from what aircraft was removed this one. Despite quite small size it contains two 60w special type (one bulb side serve as reflector) 27v bulbs which are rotated by small DC motor. One bulb is burned out so we see here only one light beam. It it powered from by far too low power and too low voltage supply (12V instead 27V) so rotates sluggish.
