Lazy, self-satisfied, and endlessly in love with lasagna, Garfield the cat lives in complete comfort with his owner Jon Arbuckle and is convinced that the entire house exists solely for his pleasure. But the familiar order collapses when Jon, trying to impress veterinarian Liz, brings home Odie — a good-natured, noisy, and far too energetic puppy who becomes a rival for attention. At first, Garfield does everything he can to get rid of the unwanted neighbor, but after Odie is kidnapped by ambitious television host Happy Chapman, he must leave his beloved couch for the first time and set out on a rescue mission.
