Pentagon: U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan completed

Kenneth McKenzie, commander of U.S. Central Command, announced during a news conference held by the Department of Defense on Aug. 30, 2021 that the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan has completed, ending 20 years of U.S.-led invasion into the country.
