Hamstring Stretch using Active Muscle Engagement for IT Band Syndrome (ITBS) - Vidpt

The is a great hamstring stretch for runners suffering from IT band syndrome. Also, it is also a great post-run stretch. Why? This stretch uses active muscle engagement, which can be a nice change of pace. By firing your quad muscle you allow your hamstring (the opposing muscle) to relax. Remember not to yank on your raised leg. Gently assist the engaged leg with your hands, but don't pull too hard. Detailed instructions appear at the end of the video.
