In this video, I will compare the picture quality in HDR mode of different popular media players using a technique I developed. In this first part we will compare the quality on special test patterns. This is the first part of the tests in HDR. The following media players (streamer or TV box) took part in the test Nvidia Shield pro 2019 (Tegra x1+) Dune real vision 4k (RTD1619DR) Apple tv 4k 2021 (A12 Bionic) X2 cube (Amlogic S905x2) This test was done in late November 2021. After that, the developers of Dune Real vision 4k released new firmware, in which they were able to solve the problem with terrible gradient quality on one of the video variants.
