“To Create or to Take”
Death is destruction. Life is creation. These forces are not enemies — they are twins, eternally intertwined. One cannot exist without the other. All that lives must one day fall. All that dies gives way to something new. This balance — it is the rhythm of the universe. From galaxies collapsing into black holes to seeds sprouting from the ash of burned forests, the cycle continues, timeless and neutral. But we… we are not neutral. We are human. We have been gifted something rare — conscious choice. We are not bound by instinct. We are not compelled only to survive, to conserve energy at all costs. Yes, animals conserve energy. A hawk, circling above, may not waste the effort of the hunt — It waits for the cat to kill the mouse, then swoops down, takes the kill, and flies away. The cat can only watch. This is not cruelty. It is nature. It is efficiency. But we are more than efficient beasts. We are creators. We write symphonies, build cities, dream futures no one has seen. We shape our world with thought, compassion, and intention. And yet — When fear knocks, When profit whispers, We regress. We become like hawks — taking, not building. Conquering, not nurturing. We destroy what others created. We bomb what took lifetimes to grow. We trade peace for the illusion of power. And we call it strategy. We call it progress. But progress without creation is a lie. It’s a hollow wind in a burned forest. Ask yourself: Why are we still killing? Why are we still drawing borders in blood, when the Earth — our only home — is crying beneath our feet? We have the intelligence. We have the love. We have the power. Yes — it takes more energy to create something than to steal it. Yes — building is harder than burning. But building is what makes us human. Creation is what makes us divine. So the question is not whether we can create. It’s whether we choose to. Choose creation. Choose love. Choose to be more than efficient predators in a dying system. Because the balance will always return. But what side of it will we stand on when the Earth takes its final breath?
