Дай Дарогу! - Съёмная Хата (Drum playthrough)
“Дай Дарогу!” is an iconic Belarusian punk band that, like many other Belarusian musicians, could no longer safely continue operating in Belarus after 2020. We’ve all been scattered around the world, and one of the largest Belarusian diasporas has formed in Poland — where I’ve been living for over four years now. As usual, a random chain of connections happened, and since last summer I’ve been the drummer for “Дай Дарогу!”. I find it funny that 1998 is both the year the band was formed and the year I was born :) For some reason, my whole life I’ve always ended up being the youngest member in the bands I’ve played in. Punk rock is quite a physical genre for a drummer. It might not demand a huge amount of creativity or variety, but solid physical endurance is absolutely essential. And I enjoy hitting the drums hard, so at least for that reason I really like playing this kind of music :) In this video, you can see one of the songs from our live set — “Съёмная хата.” Enjoy!
