KMZ Helios-33 vs Lenkinap Lomo OKS 1-40-1 (quick test on the Sigma FP)
Quick test on the Sigma FP (shooting in 12-bit DNG raw, graded in Davinci Resolve, debarring into the BM Design Film colorspace). 1940's design Helios-33 (35mm T2 cine lens) VS 1960's Lomo OKS 1-40-1 (40mm T2.5 spherical cine lens). Both feature the planar optical scheme based on the Cooke panchro. Tested on full-frame (Sigma FP). Both lenses were designed to cover 16x22mm (closer to modern-day APS-C). The Helios vignettes on more on full-frame 36x24 but coverage is rather impressive for both lenses. Helios 33 copy is from 1981. OKS 1-40-1 copy is from 1982.
