EK-2006/12 Automatic Charger for 12V SLA Batteries

EK-2006/12 Automatic Charger for 12V SLA Batteries Simple and reliable lead-acid batteries are widely used in standby power supplies, protective and sprinkler systems, portable devices and other equipment. Each device shall be recharged in due time. EK-2006/12 is a module which you may use to build an automatic charger for 12V, 1.3 -- 12A/h lead-acid batteries. It may be used to charge batteries with higher output but charge time will be increased. Cyclic charging regime significantly decreasing charge time is provided by the device. The device provides 0.3A DC. The current is stable during the charge cycle. Integrated three-digit display shows current battery voltage during the charge cycle with the accuracy of one hundredth of a volt. When battery voltage reaches 14.8V charging current will be switched off and "FUL" message will flash on the LED indicator. A battery may remain connected to the charger during the long period after charging but, herewith, a self-discharge unit may be de-energized. Energy consumption of a circuit does not exceed 0.5mA in this mode. Charger is powered by 20-25V unregulated power supply. If desired, you may build such power supply by yourselves. The power supply shall obligatory provide sufficient amperage. Small radiator shall be installed on 7805 integral stabilizer since the stabilizer powered by 20-25V power supply became very hot. 1А fuse protects the charger against application of a battery in reverse polarity. You shall avoid reverse polarity of supply voltage even though the fuse is used.
